Consolidated Solar Tech Installs City’s Largest Solar PV System at Albuquerque International Airport
Consolidated Solar Technologies, LLC (CST) has just completed the finishing touches on the City’s largest grid?tied solar PV array, a 146.4 kilowatt solar stem at Albuquerque’ International Airport.
The 480?panel array is expected to garner the City more than $65,000 in annual savings through a combination of energy savings, demand reduction and Renewable Energy Credit revenues.
From an environmental perspective, the array is projected to reduce CO2 emissions by 3,525 tons over a 25?year period—the equivalent of sequestering CO2 via 29 acres of pine forests per year for a 25?year period, based on EPA measures.
The project uses SunPower 305w mono?crystalline modules, mounted on UniRac’s SolarMount rails. UniRac, one of the industry’s premier racking manufacturers, is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The system feeds energy into two 75? kilowatt SatCon inverters, which will help supply power to the airport terminal.
CST’s sister company, Mosher Enterprises, performed the electrical engineering, design and installation of the electrical components and grid interconnection for this project.
Consolidated Solar Technologies, an Albuquerque?based company, focuses on professional design, engineering, and installation of residential, commercial and utility?scale photovoltaic systems in New Mexico and surrounding markets. CST is expanding into our new office and design center along I-25 at 5225 Pino Ave NE. For more information about CST, visit www.gocstsolar.com.
