Consolidated Solar Technologies is proud to announce that we were selected by SunPower as the 2010 residential dealer of the year out of over 400 dealers in North America for our outstanding performance in 2010.
PNM announces new rate hike
Last week PNM scaled back its rate increase by almost half, from 21% to 10.8%. The company also announced that they are no longer going to pursue the 8 cent per kilowatt hour "solar access fee" that they had originally asked for from the Public Regulation Commission.

Construction Has Begun at Albuquerque Academy!

CST was recently selected through a competitive bidding process to expand the existing PV array at the Albuquerque International Airport, a project which will add 440 kW of solar to the Sunport's terminal parking structure.

Sunpower Sets New Cell Efficiency Record!
SunPower Corp. has produced a full-scale solar cell with a sunlight to electricity conversion efficiency of 24.2 percent at its manufacturing plant in the Philippines. This is a new world record for large area silicon wafers, and has been confirmed by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL).

More PNM Rate Hikes Coming Soon?
The Albuquerque Journal reported today that PNM is set to request yet another rate hike on June 1st at the Public Regulatory Commission. PNM's CEO acknowledged that the requested hike will be 'big', despite coming off nearly 24% rate hikes since 2007.
